HAPPY FOURTH BIRTHDAY TRAVIS!!!!

I am totally obsessed in love with giving my kiddos great birthday parties.  I love to plan parties and since I don't get to do it often, I do it for my kids.  We celebrated Travis's 4th birthday with his girlfriend best friend Addisen.  She also turned 4 this month.  We had it at Pump It Up, as per the children's request.  They had such a good time.  They jumped and jumped and jumped and jumped, ok you get the idea.  Even the parents got in there and did their fair share of jumping.  We are so blessed to have such good family and friends who were all able to make it.  Trav had a very special day and loved everything he got.  Here are a couple of pics to show you all about it.

OH HOW SHE GROWS!!!!

My little lady is growing so fast.  She will be 11 months (yes almost a year), in just a couple of days.  I can't hardly believe how fast she is growing.  That little thing loves, patty cake, food, sleeping, and playing outside.  She is so much like her brother, it's scary amusing.  Today at the park she slid down the slide all by herself and she was so proud.  She is walking all over the place, and is starting to try and run.  It's quite comical.  She loves all foods, but most check it out after putting it in her mouth, which is really gross.  Anyways she is such a joy, and am soooo excited about her 1st birthday.  No preemptive talk, it will blow the greatness.  :)  Here are some pictures of my lovely.

Trav and Abby are back in the swing of things after a summer break.  Travis will be in the 4 yr old class (he misses the cutoff for pre-K by 14 days) that stinks that's ok, it's just one more year I get to spend with him.  Abby will be in the toddler room.  Yes can you believe that, she's only 9 months and in the toddler room . I guess it fits since she is toddling.  It may not seem like a big deal, but each school year is bigger and better.  Can't wait to see how they both grow.

Happy Anniversary!!!

7 years ago today I married the love of my life.  He loves me when I'm me, when I'm mad, when I'm happy and when I'm sad, he loves me when I'm cranky, he loves me when I'm stubborn, and he loves me unconditionally.  I am so blessed to have married so a great man.  Happy Anniversary Babe.

SILENCE

Why yes that is what you hear, or don't rather.  Both of my children our down for the night, (in their own beds).  Yes that is right, while we were on vacation all the kiddos stayed in the room with the bunkbeds, so when we got home, we decided this would be a great time to try and get Travis off our bedroom floor.  Don't get me wrong, I don't mind him being there, but how nice would it be if he could sleep in his own bed, and to top things off I didn't even have to lay down with him.  I just tucked him in and off to sleep he went.  I am so glad that bed we just payed off is finally getting some use.

AMEN

SCHLITTERBAHN 2010

So we had our 5th annual Schlitterbahn trip this past weekend.  Oh how I looked forward to this time.  Each year we go the kids do more and more.  This weekend was super duper packed and the lines were a little long so we didn't ride too many of the really big ones. They have a lazy river on steroids, we'll say with these ginormous waves, and that is were we spend most of our time for day one.  Day two some of our friends and their kids met us at the park and spent the day with us.  (Pics to follow).  The evening of day two, my parents offered to watch all 6 kids so we could go to dinner with Chris and Laurie.  Wow don't know of too many parents that would undertake that.  I am so lucky.   The kids had a great time (it probably helps that they were totally wiped out).  So I plan to continue this trip for as long as my kiddos find it enjoyable, I know I sure love it.  Each year we find things that will make it  a little easier to travel with the kiddos.  So here are the pics.

FAMILY SATURDAY

I absolutely love love love hanging out with the family.  Well if you know my kiddos they always wake up absolutely cranky joyous in the morning 6:30 am.  Anyways I have been trying to do better with taking pictures of what we do so I took some this morning.  This was our day.

I found this cool idea on a website, you take all your broken crayons and melt them to make new ones, the kids thought it was really cool.  Abby just like the way they taste :)

They turned out really neat

And this was all before 9 am!!

Weekend of FUN!!!

We had the kiddos this past weekend and wanted to take them to do some fun stuff.  We have season passes to Six Flags and Hawaiin Falls, so that is what we did.  This was Travis' first time to really go and be able to ride the rides and have fun, and that we did.  He had such a blast hanging out and riding all the rides.  Autumn wanted me to ride the Superman since her dad refuses to, but I think I'll get him on there before it's all said done.  It was soooo hot so not very busy, which made it great for us.  Oh yea and who could forget it was all made possible by Auntie Leah watching Abbers so we didn't have to take her in the heat.  When we got there to pick up Abby, let's just say Auntie Leah needed a much deserved nappy.

Here we are after getting absolutely soaked, as per the above pics of very fast approaching water dowsing us

this was in Looney Toon land, does't autumn looked thrilled.

This was the Conquistador, man we rode this thing a ton of times.  Travis loved it

I had to work hard for this pic.

Abby's Ear Piercing
June 24,2010

I was so excited to get Abby's ears pierced.  For me that's just what you do.  Girls have earrings.  I do have to say though I'm kinda chicken when it comes to being the one to take my kids to do things like this.  I.E. shots and other things that cause pain, not my favorite.  So I brought along a somewhat willing friend.  (Leah = godparent) to my kiddos.  So here are the pics, and I think they speak for themselves.

Happy Father's Day Babe

It cracks me up that I call Robert babe, then Travis does it quite often.  Makes me laugh.  Anyways we didn't do much special for Robert today, but we did get to hang out as a family and I think that's good enough sometimes.  We went and hung out at Auntie Leah's house with her fam and my dad got to hang out too.  It was nice company and good food as always.  I am so lucky to have such a great husband that is so involved in his kids lives.  He spends just as much time with them as I do and I love it.  He is the best player, rough houser with Travis and just adores Abby.  We are so lucky to have him in our lives.

I LOVE YOU BABE

Parents
-is a caretaker of the offspring in their own species

So I think alot about parenting for many reasons.  Well besides the obvious, I am a parent, but also because of my own parents.  My mom came over this weekend to hang with Abby and I while my dad took Travis to see Toy Story 3.  I have the best parents in the world.  They love my children as much as they love me.  They have raised me to be a hardworking, caring, and mindful person.  I hope that some day people will look at my children and say "Wow those kids have been loved and they are good people."  So far I think we are headed on the right track cause man I have some pretty good kids.  And that brings me to

Grandparents

-in traditional cultures, grandparents often had a direct and clear role in relation to the care and nurture of children.

Ok so that's not the definition but it seemed stupid fairly obvious and not really what I was looking for.  So anyways as we celebrate Father's Day today I have the best.

I'll add pics of trav man as soon as I can find what I have done with them.

Berries Part 1

So we decided to go to the peach orchard out in Terrell to pick berries.  Wow was it smoldering hot outside that day.  Trav and I had never picked well anything, so an adventure it was.  Here are the pics from the day.  Never mind we picked only one bucket with our friends when we paid for two, because all we really wanted was the fresh-yummy-melt in your mouth-did I say fresh peach ice cream. (Ok maybe that's all I wanted and well we were all melting).

What are the kids doing today?

I haven't been very good about posting these on the day of so I am just going to post a couple pics.  Life has been super busy for us lately, Abby has gotten a tooth and is crawling nonstop.  Travis is riding is bike better and better and of course is still loving to swing like crazy.  Each and every day my children make me so happy.

This is Abby swinging at the park, she did really well

Here is Abby crawling under her bouncer to get left over snacks, gross

I like this one, I took Trav and Abby on a walk first time in the wagon

Here's Trav swimming at papa Rocky's.  Man he's a fish

Each and every day I am so thankful for what these kiddos bring to my life.  I am so lucky.
