What are my kids doing today

Well since I am at work today and can't really speak to what my kids are doing, (although I can imagine), I will tell you what we they did yesterday.

Travis as of yesterday, I saw him get on the bike, ride it, then stop all by himself without any major catastrophes. Here is his, I am so proud of him.

Now Abby and I had a chance to play in the mirror and that was fun. Here she is!

Here's Daddy

What are my kids doing today

So today was our normal Tuesday with great friends. We as a whole have not been doing very well on our bible study time, but we sure do great hanging out. I think we'll plan for a crafty day one of these Tuesdays. Hopefully the sun will come out in full force soon, so we can visit different parks. Now that would be fun wouldn't it, try out all the different parks near each of our houses. Huh I'll have to remember to bring that up. So the kiddos. They are my life and how they keep it full and joyous. The hubster worked all day today from 6 am to 11 ish tonight, so that I could go to a mommy function on Thursday night, I can't wait. Anyways so it has been me and the kiddies all day today. Travis right now is attempting to go to sleep for the night and Abby has been asleep for almost an hour already. She's like a clock, man it's nice to have some sort of a schedule. Today Travis played pretty well with his friends and did awesome at gymnastics. I decided to take him out of ASI and keep playing soccer. We will try a different gymnastics closer to the house when a spot opens. Abby today almost made it to sitting from her belly all by herself. You forget how fast the little stinkers grow up, man it's amazing. She is still loving the two fingers, by the way. That's our Tuesday

What are my kids doing today

Today was a busy day. Robert took the kids to see How to Train Your Dragon, while Abby and I stayed back. It was Abby's naptime so I got a little housework done. Overdue housework might I add. So I thought it would be fun to occasionally blog about what the kiddos are doing. So here we go.

Travis- Travis can ride is bike without training wheels. It's crazy. He can now stop without eating the pavement and almost get going by himself. He is so proud and so am I. This week he's eating (this fluctuates with his mood). He is working on numbers and actually writing them at school. It's so exciting to see him getting so big. Makes me sad and glad all at the same time.

Abby- Abby will be 6 months, oh how the time flies. She tried green beans and green peas today and I don't think she really like them, and I don't blame her cause man they stunk. She is still trying to crawl and can get around pretty well these days. I think my time will be limited on her staying still for too much longer. She is a wonderful sleeper and very easy going. I call her my sugar bear.

Autumn- Autumn is working on her UIL stuff at school, and of course doing very well. Today she decided she wanted to workout on the treadmill. She needed some water shortly after. Autumn is the best help when she's over. Travis absolutely loves her, even though sometimes he acts like he doesn't. I think that come with being a little (pesky), brother.

Things I love

So a friend of mine wrote on her blog about 10 things she loves. So without completely and totally copying her, I am going to write about 10 things I am thankful for. I find it a nice reminder to spell it out sometimes. It makes you remember why you do what you do!!

1. I am so thankful for the wonderful family I have been given. I am truly blessed each and every day with a wonderful husband, the most amazing children and the best parents you could ask for.

2. I am thankful for friends. Man I have some good friends. It's taken me some time, (minus Billie and a select few others that have been around for some time), I am surely thankful for my new found friends.

3. Ponytails, I love ponytails. I love the freedom of doing absolutely nothing to my hair.

4. Food, oh how I love food. I'm much more of an eater than I think.

5. The ability to work out, so that I can love food.

6. My job, even though it has some high stress moments, it allows me to provide for my family. I enjoy what I do.

7. Shopping. I am thankful that I can shop. I love to shop for anything. I like to shop for my kids, for me and for other people.

8. Coupons. I am thankful for coupons. I am pretty new to the world of couponing, and saving ridiculous amounts of money. It makes me giddy.

9.Technology. I am thankful for all it brings to us, even though there are some days I wish there was a place like Little House on the Prairie for my kids to experience.

10. My life. I am so absolutely thankful for the life I have been blessed with. Our God is Great.

Almost Perfect Thursday

Thursday is one of my second favorite days of the week. It's the other day that I get to hang out with my kiddos and friends. I don't know why this Thursday sticks out but it does. So we started the morning off with the Farmers Market with Anna and the kiddos. We picked out our weekly produce then went to Anna's to seperate. The kids love to play together and Anna has a great backyard. Then I had to leave very promptly because the kiddos NEADED a nappy. I barely made it home in time to put them down before they fell asleep in the car (if at anytime this happens they will not go back to sleep). Oh and by the way it was a gorgeous day outside. So we get home and Abby lets me hold her while she sucks on her two favorite fingers and I sing to her while she falls asleep. It was the sweetest of sweet moments. When Trav was little singer just distracted him, so I was more than excited when it put my sweet angel to sleep. Then I was able to put Trav down, then mommy time came. I laid on the couch with the blinds open and the fan on. I read a little of the Five Love Languages then I laid down for a little nap of my own. We got up went outside to play then we had a picnic outside for dinner. It was gorgeous. The only part missing from my almost perfect Thursday was my Hubby who had to work. Boo.

EASTER

I love anything that gets our family together. This Easter was especially special, (if that's appropriate language). I found some old pictures while at my moms house of Easter at my grandma's house. We used to always have all the cousins and easter egg hunts. I don't think I really remember, but man it sure looks like we had fun. My grandma is getting kinda old and thought it would fun to have all the grandkids together again. I invited my cousin and her family, she has to kids in between Travis' age. My mom's side of the family always comes and we love them. So I was soooo excited to have everyone there. We had a great time and Travis had a blast playing with his cousins. He has asked me multiple times when he gets to play with them again. Here are a couple of pics from the day. I am so blessed to have the best family ever.
